Sunday, Oct 18 was island-hopping day at Siargao Nomad Fest. Festival guests took boats out of General Luna to a small island, and our crew filmed the trip on phones from the water to the sand.
On the water
The boats left the port in the morning and crossed water that went from deep blue to clear turquoise over the reef. The island came up low and green, with a long white beach and boats pulled up on the shore.
On the beach
On the island the day slowed down: shade under the palms, a coconut cut open on the beach, shells collected on a rock, volleyball and games on the sand, and a lunch laid out on banana leaves that spelled out "Siargao".
